GABRIEL MARQUES: " I LOVE PHILOSOPHY AND READING ABOUT THINKERS FROM AS MANY DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS AS POSSIBLE. FROM VYASA AND LAO TZE TO GARCIA ROZA AND ADORNO."
6th June 2014
Who is Gabriel Marques?
I am my parents son, my sister’s brother and a friend of my friends.
What did you do before modeling?
I was a student in a catholic high school in Rio de Janeiro, always hanging out with some friends who I love, listening to music and talking about everything we liked and disliked. At that time everything seemed to be a sculpture or a picture that we could just spend hours looking at and talking about.
Your personal passion or hidden talents?
I love philosophy and reading about thinkers from as many different backgrounds as possible. From Vyasa and Lao Tze to Garcia Roza and Adorno.
Ten years from now (you will be…)?
Making music, writing articles and happy, of course.
Árvore (“tree” in portuguese).
What’s no fun?
Dishonesty. Never in a moral sense, but in an existencial sense.
Knowing that a person or an instance of being became more beautiful or more interesting because of me.
Current 'eye candy'?
North Indian instruments and old Yugioh cards.
Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
A quote that sums you up:
“It is only shallow people who do not judge by appearances."
- Oscar Wilde
